Measurement of Body Composition
Whenever we embark on a fitness program, we hope to make progress. Otherwise, just wasting time. Measuring our progress is very important not only to let us know if and how quickly they are improving, but because it provides incentives to stay on track. However, no measure is completely accurate, and not all measures are appropriate for each goal. Objectivity / Accuracy: very objective, very imprecise
BMI gives no useful information on body composition and it is unnecessary for the calculation of lean body mass. However, its convenience, it is useful for studying a general population.
Circumference measurements with a tape measure
Theory: thick lower (especially around the waist) is thinner.
Objectivity / Accuracy: reasonably objective, but slightly inaccurate

Photography
