What training vertical leap good for my body type and condition?

I used to be an athlete elite high school and college. His strength, speed and agility, but I've never had a good vertical jump. In best of me, I could go 28 "which was not bad but not so great either. Since leaving college, I had not done any sport at all until last year when I started playing volleyball again. As I have done nothing for over 10 years and was older, I was much weaker. Now that I'm only getting 24 "vertical jump and fight for the ball polish. I heard that people w / different body types and characteristics for different types of training to improve their vertical. Therefore, I wonder what the training is ideal for my body type and condition. I'm 36 years old and standing 5'9 "with legs very short. I a muscular body without weighing 175 pounds fat. I have huge muscles, quads, calves but, like the legs of a horse. My goal is to recover 4 "I lost, then add a few inches to 30."
